Ubuntu for development server
My development server has crashed two months ago and yesterday I have manage to fix and reformat the harddrive. After doing some research and discussion with Novan, I finally decided to install Ubuntu Linux for development server. Why I choose Ubuntu? because it is not heavy for my old server that runs with 192MB memory and 40GB harddrive and only one installation CD, it’s different from previous installed Linux Red Hat that has three CD’s. Ubuntu is a linux distro based on Debian and using Gnome. I also installed XAMPP for quick Apache/PHP/MySQL package. So now I had Flashcom, Flex & Coldfusion development on windows server and Apache/PHP/MySQL on linux server. Now still one thing that I badly need, it’s a 24 internet connection 
believe it or not.. I’m online from home using dial-up connection because my location is not yet covered by WiFi/Cable ISP, there is ADSL service but it’s to expensive for me so I’ll wait for WiFi/Cable internet service
